It features a mix of sand and pebbles with crystal-clear, shallow, and incredibly calm waters, making it an absolute paradise for families with children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stand-Up Paddling (SUP) &amp; Kayaking:<\/strong> Because the bay is completely shielded from strong winds and waves, it is the perfect spot to launch a SUP or kayak. You can easily paddle along the coastline to explore small, rugged sea caves and secluded mini-beaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dive into Underwater Museums (Amaliapoli):<\/strong> Just a short drive away (about 7-8 km) in Amaliapoli (Mitiela), there are accessible underwater archaeological sites. It is a designated modern heritage site featuring two-story stone buildings and warehouses where monks used to harvest and process olives. Nearby, you will also see two historic pre-industrial olive presses and the ruins of the Byzantine church of <strong>Agia Triada<\/strong> (Holy Trinity).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kato Xenia Monastery &amp; &#8220;Golgotha&#8221; Hill:<\/strong> Located just outside the town of Sourpi, this historic, active monastery is highly worth a visit. About 500 meters south of the monastery sits the hill of &#8220;Golgotha&#8221; (or the Hill of the Virgin Mary). Three large wooden crosses stand at the top, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire valley below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sourpi Folklore Museum:<\/strong> Housed in a beautifully restored old warehouse in the town of Sourpi (5 km from Nies), this small museum is a great stop to learn about the traditional daily life, agricultural tools, and local customs of the past centuries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
